Andrew Bartsch has been a valued member of the Obermiller Nelson Engineering team since 2008. Because of his dedication to quality and customer service he later became an Associate at Obernel and now leads the Electrical Department. In 2014, he became a Lighting Certified Designer helping to bring the electrical department to the next level.
Since the age of 14, Andrew has been involved in the electrical construction industry, first as an apprentice electrician in his family’s business followed by three years of CAD, design, and engineering internship while attending NDSU.
Since graduation, he has been employed full time as an electrical engineer broadening his project experience to include government, institutional, commercial, health care, senior housing, residential, religious, hotel/motel, office, and municipal projects.
Through these projects, Andrew has gained experience in the design and specification of site lighting, lighting control systems, interior lighting, power distribution, grounding, underfloor heating systems, electric heat, electrical service, engine generator systems, UPS systems, structural cabling systems, nurse call systems, electronic door access systems, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, fire alarm systems, mass notification systems and sound systems (paging and background music).
