Two Rivers Activity Center

Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC) was a new athletic and wellness center built for the community of Jamestown, North Dakota. The building includes a gymnasium with a track on the mezzanine level, fitness classrooms, lesson pool area, swimming pool with two water slides, lazy river, zero-depth pool & lap swimming, locker rooms, weight room, classrooms for child care and preschool and a small office area. Obernel was the mechanical and fire protection engineer on this project.
The mechanical design included standard plumbing fixtures, new 4” domestic water service, 6” FP service, 8” sanitary sewer service and internally pipe roof drains with a 16” stormwater service. There are two natural gas water heaters that serve domestic hot water with a recirculating pump. The entire building was designed to include a sprinkler system and a complete building automation system was also included.
